Another view of the mine that the POWs from Omine Machi worked at while being held in Japan.  The mine was owned by the Mitsui Company and was the largest coal mine in the Hiroshima Prefecture.

The POWs from Omine Machi Camp walked down this road from the camp to the mine.

In this picture, the POWs at Omine Machi Camp are shown.  Pfc. William Hauser and Pvt. Ralph Shaffer of B company were prisoners in the camp.  Sgt. Owen Sandmire and Pvt. Ed DeGroot of A Company were also POWs in the camp.
