It was November, 1941.  The men of the 192nd Tank Battalion did not yet know what was in store for them. No one warned them of the three and one half years of torture they were about to endure.  
They were not told that more than half of them would not be returning to their families.  This is their story, as told by their own gripping  photographs, of the living nightmare they suffered through.

When asked by a newspaper reporter if the soldiers fighting on Bataan would be relieved, Secretary of War Henry Lewis Stimson replied, "There are times when men must die."
